How we work

Kazoo creates communications that emotionally connect customers to companies and their brands.

Brand first. Before we do anything else, we partner with clients to define (or perhaps refine) the core brand essence and make sure it’s actionable with management, employees and even vendors. Only then do we take the branding process externally to the marketplace. Already have a strong, established brand? We take the time to learn everything we can about your existing brand strategy and standards. When it comes time to create new marketing pieces, we’re able to ensure that what we produce works in perfect harmony.

Creative next. For new businesses or companies going through a period of significant transition—we often begin with identity and key message development. For companies that already have an established brand, we develop a wide range of marketing materials that engage customers and get them buzzing.

Collaboration always. To make emotional customer connections, brand strategy and creative thinking must work hand in hand. Our strategic and creative teams work collaboratively—from the first meeting through project completion—to achieve exceptional results. Oh, and we consider our clients valuable members of the team as well.

 

Who we are

Meet the leaders at Kazoo Branding.

Mila Samson

After her Education at the Willem de Kooning in Rotterdam, The Netherlands Mila started her career as a graphic designer creating promotional material for her uncle’s garage in Paramaribo, Suriname (South America). Now living in Minneapolis, Minnesota and a devoted Kazook, Mila is specialized in logo and visual brand development. Outside of work Mila lives an active lifestyle that consists of intense workouts, biking, running and when the snow starts flying, snowboarding. Mila loves good design, espresso, punk and Mustangs made before 79 (although they’ve been good again lately).

Tom Dupont

Tom has orchestrated product introductions, managed franchise cooperatives, developed corporate identities and helped clients of all sizes implement successful brand strategies. Clients include Pillsbury, Pizza Hut, US Bank, Canterbury Downs, MOA, 3M, Cargill, Surdyk’s and several non-profits. There’s nothing in this world he gets a bigger kick out of than developing successful brands for clients. Every once in a while, he gets fairly passionate about golf as well.

Ellen Puls

Ellen graduated from the University of Minnesota with a BFA in graphic design and a minor in Spanish studies. She builds and maintains Shopify and Squarespace websites to help clients sell product, and creates on brand collateral materials. She is also our whiz kid on social media. Her graphic design is influenced by "old-school" techniques like collage, film photography, and illustration. You’ll have a hard time catching Ellen in her free time, as she’s probably speeding around town on her skateboard or bike.
